Tween/Teen Volunteers

Tween/Teen volunteers have been an important part of our summer reading programs.

Teen Volunteering
June through August
Harmony Library and/or Glocester Manton Library
Age Level: Grades 6 and up
Email [email protected] with the subject TEEN VOLUNTEER if you are interested in helping out at the library this summer. We will send you a list of dates, times, activities that we could use help with. This can go towards your community service hours for school!

Tween/Teen Reading

The Glocester Libraries offers a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles for young adult readers. Whether you like graphic novels, audio books, or hardcover books, you will find your interests covered at the libraries.

If there is a title that is not available, we are happy to order it for you from another library and have it delivered to your home library.

Teen programs focus on tweens and teens' interests and develop a love of reading, They enhance an interest in the arts and sciences and provide a safe haven for social interaction and community service.

Safe Sitters Class
Friday, July 10, 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Glocester Manton Library
Age Level: Ages 11 to 14
Join us with Brown Health to learn about safe babysitting, CPR, babysitting as a business, and more. The class costs $50, with checks payable to Miriam Hospital. Students must bring snacks and lunch for the day.
 
Teen Mosaic Vase
Monday, July 13, 5 p.m.
Harmony Library
Age Level: Grades 6 and up
Join us to make a mosaic vase, a perfect décor piece! Please register with your child’s name.
 
K-Pop Snacks and Keychains
Monday, July 27, 5 p.m.
Harmony Library
Age Level: Grades 6 and up
Join us to try Korean snacks and make a K-pop themed keychain with beads and pictures. Please register with your child’s name.
