Children Programs and Services

The Glocester Libraries seek to connect children to reading by engaging young readers with a wide variety of books, audio-books, DVDs, CDs, and reading kits. The Children's Librarian helps develop a love of reading  with Story Time programs, for children, ages 8 months through Kindergarten. Both libraries offer homework help, provide research assistance for school projects, and, in cooperation with Bryant University, provides free one-on-one tutoring assistance during the school year.

Harmony and Glocester Manton Libraries’ Craft Tables
September 2 through September 30, during library hours
Harmony Library and Glocester Manton Library
Age Level: All Ages - No registration required.
Youth of all ages, discover the indoor craft table at both libraries. Each library is different, so be sure to visit both places.
 
Weekly Take and Make Crafts
September 2 through September 30, during library hours

Age Level: All Ages - No registration required.
Children of all ages, visit both libraries weekly to pick up a craft! Craft kits will be different at each location. Some kits may require help for younger crafters.
 
Science with Ms. Jen: Squishy Circuits!

Learn about electric circuits by bringing your play dough creations to life! Watch them light up, beep, spin, and more!
 
Patchwork Pumpkins

Join us in making patchwork pumpkins with fall fabric, mod podge, and foam pumpkins!
 
Sea Shells and Sea Glass Picture Frame
Saturday, September 14, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Glocester Manton Library
Age Level: All Ages
No registration required.
Join us anytime between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to make a seashell and sea glass picture frame. It’s a fun way to end the summer and frame your favorite picture.
 
Sports Art

Join us to paint a sports canvas. Pick from baseball, softball, or soccer!
 
Minecraft
Thursday, September 19, 5 p.m.
Harmony Library
Age Level: Ages 6 and up
Join us to play Minecraft Bedrock edition! The library will be providing realms so only our library friends can join us. Four laptops will be available for use. If you need to use a laptop, please register. No registration is required if you are using your own device with Minecraft Bedrock edition on it.
 
LEGO Club

Come build LEGOs with us! Bring your imagination and creativity to come up with some awesome designs that we will then display in the library.
