Children Programs and Services

The Glocester Libraries seek to connect children to reading by engaging young readers with a wide variety of books, audio-books, DVDs, CDs, and reading kits. The Children's Librarian helps develop a love of reading  with Story Time programs, for children, ages 8 months through Kindergarten. Both libraries offer homework help, provide research assistance for school projects, and, in cooperation with Bryant University, provides free one-on-one tutoring assistance during the school year.

Youth of all ages, discover the indoor craft table at both libraries. Each library is different, so be sure to visit both places.
 
Weekly Take and Make Crafts

Children of all ages, visit both libraries weekly to pick up a craft! Craft kits will be different at each location. Some kits may require help for younger crafters.
 
Hummingbird Tracking

We will be tracking hummingbirds as they make their way back to Rhode Island. Come check out a map that will be displayed at both libraries along with some activities.

Plant a Kitty

Join us to plant some seeds and decorate a kitty planter.
 
Paper Flowers – Drop-in Program

No registration required.
Join us to make some fun paper flowers during this drop-in program. We will be using a Crayola science kit to watch the colors spread.
 
Hummingbird Feeders – Drop-in Program

No registration required.
Decorate wine bottles with glass paint and turn them into hummingbird feeders at this drop-in program.
