Children Programs and Services

The Glocester Libraries seek to connect children to reading by engaging young readers with a wide variety of books, audio-books, DVDs, CDs, and reading kits. The Children's Librarian helps develop a love of reading  with Story Time programs, for children, ages 8 months through Kindergarten. Both libraries offer homework help, provide research assistance for school projects, and, in cooperation with Bryant University, provides free one-on-one tutoring assistance during the school year.

Paint Night: Pumpkins
Tuesday, November 4, 5 p.m.
Glocester Manton Library
Age Level: Ages 5 and up
Join Ms. Jen as she walks you through a step-by-step pumpkin painting. We will be painting on canvas.
 
Life Size Candy Land Night
Monday, November 10, 5 p.m.
Harmony Library
Age Level: Ages 3 and up (Some children may require help from a caregiver.)
Join us for a GIANT game of Candy Land! In groups of four, children will work their way through the game to collect, you guessed it – candy!
 
Turkey Sign – Drop-in Craft
Saturday, November 15, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Age Level: All Ages
Make a fun turkey themed wooden sign. This is a craft for both adults and children, while supplies last.
 
Turkey Story Time
Tuesday, November 18, 5 p.m.

Xen’s Critters will join us with a turkey friend. We will be reading a few story books about turkeys, and afterward, we will get to meet a turkey and learn some fun facts.
 
LEGO Club
Tuesday, November 25, 5 p.m.

Age Level: Ages 4 and up
Join us to make LEGO creations that will be displayed at the Glocester Manton Library. In November, the challenge is to building something in holiday colors.
